Meghan Trainor Announces ‘Timeless’ Album and First Tour in 7 Years

The pop star also released "Been Like This," the album's first single, which features T-Pain

Album No. 6 is on the way for Meghan Trainor!

On Thursday, the “Mother” pop star announced that she’ll release her album Timeless on June 14 via Epic Records, and will also be heading on the road for the first time in seven years this fall. She also dropped the LP’s first single, “Been Like This” featuring T-Pain.

“I cannot believe it has been 10 years since this all started, I have never been more grateful for this life that my incredible Megatronz have gifted me with,” she said in a press release, referring to her fanbase. “This new album and tour are all for them and my beautiful family.”

The T-Pain collaboration came to life after Trainor’s husband Daryl Sabara tried “for months” to surprise her for her birthday. “She’s been a fan of mine for a long time and the feeling is definitely mutual,” he said. “I think we came together in a way that’s a perfect mesh of styles that will get everybody ready for us to work together again real soon. T-Pain and M-Train, the collab you never knew you wanted but needed.”

As for the 24-show Timeless tour, Trainor will stop at amphitheaters across America, along with LA’s Kia Forum and New York’s Madison Square Garden. She’ll bring her brother Ryan Trainor and Chris Olsen on the road, along with “Lil Boo Thang” singer Paul Russell. Natasha Bedingfield will also join Trainor as an opener in New York, Los Angeles, and Colorado.

Tickets for the run of shows go on sale to the general public on March 22 at 10 a.m. local time, though fans can register for presale tickets through Thursday.

Timeless follows the release of Trainor’s last album Takin’ It Back in 2022, which featured songs such as “Made You Look,” “Don’t I Make It Look Easy,” and “Bad For Me” with Teddy Swims. Trainor dropped her debut Title in 2015, Thank You in 2016, and both Treat Myself and A Very Trainor Christmas in 2020.

“I stopped chasing radio and what I thought people wanted to hear and just wrote what I enjoyed,” she told Rolling Stone about the LP. “I put my heart into each song. Sometimes my sad, broken heart and sometimes my happy, confident heart.”
